4th Annual Jasper Arthritis Walk
The Arthritis Walk is the Arthritis Foundation’s signature event that takes place in communities nationwide to raise funds and awareness to fight arthritis, the nation’s number one cause of disability.  Proceeds go to research and community services for the 1.1 million Alabamians - including thousands of children - who have arthritis and other rheumatic diseases.  Sign up today and show your support!

Prescription Assistance for Senior Citizens and Disabled Individuals

People age 55 and over as well as people on disability can receive healthy lifestyle information on Cancer Prevention. The program, called SenioRx Wellness, also provides FREE PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION to senior citizens and disabled individuals who qualify.  Call 205-325-1416 for more information or to sign-up for SenioRx Wellness.  This program is a partnership between the Jefferson County Office of Senior Citizens Services, the Alabama Department of Senior Services and the Alabama Department of Public Health.  Again, the phone number is 205-325-1416.
